Meet Pani: The Dog Behind Tedi's Packaging
If you’ve ever wondered who the adorable pup is on the cover of my Tedi’s packaging, let me introduce you to Pani—my paralyzed rescue dog and daily inspiration. Pani’s story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of love. She’s a symbol of resilience and love, and represents the belief that every dog, no matter their circumstances, deserves a good life and good food. Here’s her incredible journey.
Pani's Journey from the Streets of Iran to NYC
Pani was found abandoned on the streets of Iran, paralyzed and struggling to survive. For a month, she managed to endure life on the streets with a broken back before a kind stranger found her and got her to a local rescue sanctuary. The sanctuary, filled with over 200 dogs—many with special needs like Pani—was able to provide general care and lots of love. but lacked access to the veterinary care and physical therapy she so desperately needed.
In a life-changing moment, one of the Iranian-Americans that worked with the sanctuary arranged for Pani to travel across the globe to Animal Haven in New York City, where she was given a chance at a better life—and that’s when our paths crossed. I became her foster mom, and since then, our journey together has been nothing short of miraculous.
Rehabilitation and Progress
When Pani first arrived, her legs were completely stiff and atrophied. She had adapted to dragging them behind her, but with physical therapy—laser treatments, hydrotherapy, and lots of dedication—she began to show incredible progress. Today, she can sometimes move her legs, scratch her ears, and occasionally stand up on her own for a second or two. While she may not be able to walk unassisted, Pani moves confidently in her canine wheelchair and absolutely thrives in the ocean water, where she experiences moments of freedom like never before.
Why Pani is the Face of Tedi’s
Pani’s journey from a paralyzed street dog in Iran to a happy, playful pup thriving in Miami is the embodiment of what Tedi’s stands for. Just like Pani, every dog deserves a second chance, a healthy life, and the very best nutrition possible. My plant based dog treats and organic dog snacks are crafted with the same care and love that I give to Pani every day. I use only human-grade ingredients and ensure that each treat is free from artificial ingredients, preservatives, colors and filler ingredients, because our pets deserve the very best.
Life with Pani
Pani is full of life and energy. Whether in a big city or on the beach, she zooms around in her wheels, showing off her bigger than life personality. She may have a spinal injury, but that doesn’t stop her from being a bold, strong, and confident little girl.
She’s also a foodie in every sense of the word. Pani loves eating all the healthy meals I make for her and, of course, loves her role as my official taste tester.
The Challenges of Special Needs Care
As a special needs dog, Pani has undergone extensive physical therapy. Her rehabilitation includes laser therapy, hydrotherapy, and other treatments that have made a significant difference in her quality of life. She’s come such a long way since she first arrived, and while her journey is ongoing, her progress inspires me every day. Though she uses diapers due to her injury, caring for her has become second nature to me. It’s a small part of our routine, and the joy she brings to my life makes it all worth it. Pani inspires me daily with her resilience and joy, and I’m committed to giving her the best life possible—just like I aim to do for every dog through my treats.
